About Eli
Eli has lived in the Wabaunsee County area his entire life. At the age of 12 Eli began creating construction plans and proposal drawings for his family's construction company in Alta Vista.
In 2023, Eli had the opportunity to work as an intern with Congressman Tracey Mann in Washington DC. There he had a front-row seat to the legislative process and the issues facing Kansans. This spring, he also worked at the State Capitol with Representatives on the Education and Agriculture Committees. Here, he saw firsthand the issues being tackled at the state level. He believes he can use this knowledge and the relationships he built while in Topeka to advocate for the members of District 51.
Eli is now running for State House of Representatives to bring a new generation to the political landscape and common-sense solutions to Topeka.
Issues
Pro-Business is Pro-Kansas
Small businesses are the backbone of Kansas, from your local grocery store to family farms. The role of government in business should be to ensure a fair market and get out of the way. I believe in the power of the free market as one of the best tools for capital allocation. I will advocate for lower taxes and fewer overbearing regulations on our business owners to foster growth.
Our Schools are Struggling
This spring, I had the opportunity to collaborate with members of the House Education Committee to assess the state of our schools. Unfortunately, the outlook is concerning. Less than 35% of students meet federal proficiency standards. We must empower parents to take a more active role in their child's education.
Protect Kansas Kids
From boys in the girls' locker room to big tech algorithms that thrive off depression, Kansas kids are being attacked from multiple angles. I will always be an advocate for giving parents more tools to prevent kids from being preyed upon by people who disagree with your values and way of life.
Family is the Future
Raising kids in today's economy is becoming increasingly challenging. That's why I'm committed to advocating bills that facilitate parenting. From expanding the child tax credit to reducing penalties for marriage, we must do everything possible to create a safer and more stable environment for raising children.
